This past January, I graduated from high school early. At my high school you are still allowed to come back for all the senior events, even though you are technically graduated. My boyfriend (who is a senior in high school) is taking me to our senior PROM.

I love prom. My boyfriend and parents tease me that I treat it like my wedding day! But who doesn’t get excited about looking pretty? I start planning months in advance. I search all over the web for the perfect hair and makeup look, but I spend the most time searching for my dress.

This year I had a very difficult time deciding on a dress and color. I wasn’t sure whether or not I should go for something bright or more neutral.

At my school, girls can post their dress onto a page so no one gets the same dress. I have noticed there are two very popular colors this year.

The first is light pink: This color is perfect for any skin or hair color. It is soft and feminine for us girly girls.

The second is champagne: This color surprised me because it is soooo close to white! Usually people wear this for a wedding. After seeing several girls dresses in this color I think it is absolutely stunning!  I have noticed that most of the girls wearing this color have darker hair. Although I have seen a couple of blondies pull it off very nicely.
